Do you love faeries, folklore and mythology? Do you love to dress up, cosplay or revel in humans and spiritual connections? If so, the 3 Wishes fairy festival was the place for you this year. I had the pleasure of working at the 3 Wishes Fairy Festival this year. Where I offered tarot, palm and astrology readings.

Situated west of Glastonbury town, this festival was held on a quiet farm enclosed by trees and high-branched bushes; the location was vibrant with ancient history and that famous Avalon/ Glastonbury whimsical energy. Karen Kay, the organiser and visionary behind the festival, had personally selected the highest quality stall, makers and healers for this event. The festival itself is only small, with two stages and small chillout areas. One thing I noticed was the inclusiveness of all ages and people. The dress code was elaborate, and yes, most people were dressed up as faeries, which added to the fun.

My journey to the festival was epic, making my way down from North Wales. I stopped to pay my respect and attain some healing at the white springs temple and the Chalice Well Gardens at the bottom of Glastonbury Tor, before making my way to set up at the 3 Wishes Fairy Festival. My tarot tent sat perfectly along the rows of traders in the healing fields. It so happened that I was opposite a stall named Moon Lady run by Jenny, a woman who had attended one of my palmistry workshops a few years back. The connections continued, before I realised I had a whole group of new friends and a casual coven, connecting me to the grounding spiritual nature of Avelon and Glastonbury.

Getting to me the tallented Ciara Lawless. Turned out we were already forllowing each other on instagram.

I’ll be honest, I had no clue what to expect. Was this going to be purely cosplay? A summer Halloween? Or like me, were these folks inspired by a true connection to the fae and the earth?

The healing fields held space for several tarot readers, mystics, sound healers,

What I found at the 3 wishes fairy festival was a human connection and community. The playful dress code was a friendly talking point; people were genuinely open to communicating. The vibe, people and entertainment were a perfect mix of authenticity, folklore, and festival vibes, which created a relaxed atmosphere for energies to align and people to commune. Hopefully, I will see you there next year.
